The main research project, funded by the KSCE, was initiated with an effort to promote green construction (civil and heavy) projects in Korea. Key research scope of this main project includes: • Introduction of green practices and techniques in highway construction, railway, green port, airport, and green building projects • Analysis of national/international green construction market • Presentation of green construction system and policy Part of this research involves analyzing case studies of green construction practices, new technologies, and governmental policies related to the civil/heavy green construction in the United States that the research team can utilize as a support to this research. As a Co-PI, I am responsible for identifying, analyzing, and providing information related to aforementioned research objectives based on data from U.S. construction market.
